Resource Reports

     dkNET can help you find information and performance of research resources    Tutorial

  • Tools: Find urology related tools, databases, projects and organizations

    • Tips:

      • Click resource name to view its Resource Reports

      • You can reset the search (blue button on the right side of the search bar) and type other keywords to search.

      • You can find RRIDs in Resource Reports (What is RRID?). If you can’t find your tool, you can help us by registering it into the system. Click the blue button under the search bar.

      • In the results page, you can switch between snippet and table view (under the search bar).

      • In the table view, you will find more information by clicking “Show More Columns”. You can also download the results and work offline.

    • Do you know that you can check the usage of a tool?

      • For example, to check KEGG usage, in the KEGG Resource Reports, scroll down to “Usage and Citation Metrics” and then click “View full usage report”. The reports is based on RRID and text mining of open access articles from PubMed Central. To help you find all resource mentions, you can also click “Google Scholar” in this section.

  • Cell lines: Find urology related cell lines

    • Do you know what is the most used cell line with issues?

      • You can use Resource Reports - Cell lines to find the answer: Refine your search by selecting “issue found” and “problematic” under the “Issues” facet, and “yes” under the “Mention” facet. See results

  • Antibodies: Find antibodies with your target antigen, for example, IL-1α

    • Do you know how to find antibodies with available validation information?

      • You can select “information available” under the Validation facet. To see the validation information, click the resource name and it will bring you to the Resource Reports. In the Resource Reports, check the “Comments” under “Antibody Information”, and scroll down to the Rating and Alerts section, you can find more information there! Check this example: anti-CD44 polyclonal antibody

  • Organisms: Find model organisms with your affected gene, for example, Abi1

    • Do you know that you can find the information of the repositories about model organisms, for example, zebrafish models?

      • At Resource Reports - Organisms, under “Species” facet, select “danio rerio”, and click search. Now check out the “Database” facet, you will find the source information there. You can click URL under “Organism Information”, this will give you more detailed information. For example, by clicking the URL of this report, it will bring you to ZIRC resource page and you can request it there.

  • Plasmids: Find plasmids with your insert gene, for example, Abi1

  • Protocols: Find urology related protocols

    • Tips:

      • Under the RRID column, click the Resource Reports icon and it will bring you to the Resource Reports. At Resource Reports, you can check out more information such as Usage Summary Reports.

      • Under the RRID column, click the submission, access, or FAIRsharing icons, it will provide you more information about the repositories.

  • NIDDK Project-specific or consortium-specific data or sample repositories: These repositories usually accept data or samples from project team or collaborators only.


Authentication Reports

  • NIH Policy on Rigor and Reproducibility: Learn about NIH's mandates on resource identification and authentication

  • Create an authentication report

    • Tips:

      • You can create the authentication plans for your key biological resources manually. Check out the information by clicking “Cell Line Authentication Plan Information” or “Antibody Authentication Plan Information”

      • By creating an authentication report using dkNET’s tool, you can save the information under your account. It would be easier to manage your resources, and you can also add more resources later. If there are issues found later, you can see the updated information.

      • To view your created reports, you can log in to dkNET. From the homepage, click “Authentication reports”, and then click “Start here” button.
