dkNET Release 1.2

We are pleased to announce the release of dkNET 1.2. This release includes new features for user customization on the Community Resources page, improved navigation on the Literature page, and additional information on the More Resources page to list other communities using a resource.

Save Your Search

With this release of dkNET, you can now save your search parameters. To start with, you'll need an account on dkNET. Simply go to dkNET and click on the Register link. The only fields needed are your name and email so registering for an account is quick and easy to do.

Once you have an account, login and run one of your favorite searches. To save these search parameters, click on the Save Search icon.

This will then display a form that displays your search parameters and where you can give your search a custom name.

Click on the Save Search button and that's all it takes to save your search. To see your list of saved searches and run these again, click on your username in the top right-hand side and then select Saved Searches from the drop-down menu.

Collections

Collections allow you to save individual result records, much like a shopping cart. Any result record on the Community Resources page can be saved in a collection. As with saving your searches you will need to be logged in. If you don't already have an account, you can easily Register for an account. Every user will start with a Default collection and you can add as many additional collections as you would like. To add an individual record to a collection, click on the folder icon for that record.

You can also add all records on a page to a collection too! For this, click on the folder icon in the green bar on the right-hand side. As with Saved Searches, you can also view all of your Collections by clicking on My Collections in the drop-down menu under your username. From there, you can click on a Collection to view the items in the Collection, remove any item, or Export the Collection. For more details on these functions, view our full tutorial on new features in release 1.2.

If you have any questions while using dkNET, click on the “Chat with Us†tab for real-time user support.
