RRID:CVCL_4W65 Mus musculus (Mouse) Mouse thymic lymphoma Biotechnology: Used for mutation assays to predict the carcinogenic potential of chemicals. Allows the quantitation of forward mutations at the thymidine kinase (TK) locus. These TK heterozygous cells are treated with a range of doses of the test substance. The cells are incubated, washed free of tests substance and allowed time for the phenotypic expression of newly induced mutations (from parent cell line L5178Y TK+/- (clone 3.7.2C))., Part of: In Vitro Genetic Toxicity (IVGT) cell line panel.
