Funding Opportunities Information and Deadlines in June 2026


Jun. 08, 2026 NIH Funding Opportunity Application Due: Computational Modeling of Hormone Homeostasis Initiative

Experts from the Office of Women's Health (ORWH) and the Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI) have joined to launch a new initiative leveraging advancements in computational modeling to deepen understanding of sex-specific hormonal biology. The goal of this initiative is to promote the development of computer-based methods that model and simulate hormone homeostasis.

Jun. 15, 2026 Funding Opportunity Submission Deadline: KidneyX Challenge

The KidneyX EMPOWER Prize Challenge, a $4 million initiative, is directly addressing the critical gaps in living kidney donation. Kidney transplant is the gold standard for treating kidney failure, yet living donation has remained virtually flat for approximately two decades at fewer than 7,000 per year, set against a dire need of nearly 100,000 Americans currently waitlisted.
