Dear dkNET Community,
We are pleased to announce the release of Biomed Resource Watch, (BRW, https://scicrunch.org/ResourceWatch), a knowledge base for aggregating and disseminating known problems and performance information about research resources such as antibodies, cell lines, and tools. With this tool, researchers can report their claims about a specific resource. Researchers can also check information about a resource before planning their experiments via Biomed Resource Watch knowledge base-enhanced Resource Reports.
Try it today and let us know what you think about Biomed Resource Watch!

What is Biomed Resource Watch?
A new service platform aggregating and dissemination known validation information and issues with individual research resources (antibodies and cell lines) based on the unique research resource identifier - RRIDs
Aggregate trustworthy information from authorized sources such as Antibody Registry, Cellosaurus, Human Protein Atlas, ENCODE, and community research centers (i.e., Intestinal Stem Cell Consortium - ISCC)...etc.
Provide curators and researchers an easy-to-use interface to report validation and/or issues found and share with other researchers
Resource Watch is created and powered by dkNET (NIDDK Information Network) and based on the SciCrunch infrastructure.
How to Report an Issue and/or Validation Information
It's easy! Follow these steps:
For bulk upload, please contact info@dknet.org
How to Find your Resource
The search bar is located on the homepage and throughout the pages of Biomed Resource Watch on the top right of each page. To search for validation and issue information, enter the RRID of the resource (ex. AB_323456) and click search.
*I don’t know the RRID for an antibody or a cell line. How do I search for information?
You can find RRIDs via dkNET Resource Reports.
From homepage, you can right click the text “Search for RRID for Antibodies” or “Search for RRID for Cell Lines”, and open another window. You will be redirected to dkNET Resource Reports and then you can use resource name, catalog number and/or vendor name to search for a resource and its RRID.
How to navigate the information?
Vendors associated with the resource or laboratories that develop/own the resource are listed on the left side of the page. The validation and issue information is listed on the right side of the page. Click the vendor name for information relevant to a specific resource. Click the text [Show More] to display more statements.
How to Submit a Claim
If you would like to report issue or validation information about a specific resource, ensure that the correct vendor and catalog number are selected for that resource. Then click the green button “Make a Submission About The Above Product”. Please note that an account is required for submitting a claim. If you don’t have one yet, you can open an account for free.
Fill out the submission form following the submission instructions (based on submission type that you select) on the left side. You can add supporting documents to your submission by selecting the document type, input or upload the information and click the “Add Document” button. Once the form is complete, click “Confirm Submission” to review and then click “Submit”.
How do I View the Status of my Submission?
