dkNET challenge
Our first challenge at ENDO2016 in Boston and online during April 1-8, 2016 was very successful. The goal of the dkNET challenge was to provide researchers opportunities to learn and discover what dkNET has to offer to help with their research and to provide feedback about how we can make dkNET even better. We met several clinical and basic scientists around the world at our poster and at the NIH booth. Visitors participated in challenge after hands-on demos on-site, or participated later using their own computer or iPad (Yes! dknet.org is mobile and tablet friendly). Challenge participants answered one of five questions according to their research interest, for example, “how many clinical trial datasets related to type 1 diabetes are available?” or “can you find animal models of polycystic kidney disease?” After the challenge, they filled in a survey. We thank all participants for their useful feedback. We’ve already brought comments and suggestions back to the dkNET team in order to develop a better tool for the NIDDK research community.
“We all need people who will give us feedback. That’s how we improve.”– Bill Gates
For those who missed the chance to meet us in person at ENDO2016 or to participate in our online challenge, your opinions and suggestions are very important to us in helping dkNET to develop better tools for scientific community. Please feel free to give us any feedback using one of these methods:
