NIDDK Information Network Launch

We are pleased to announce the official launch of the dkNET portal, a one-stop shop for finding research resources like data, reagents, organisms and tools. dkNET provides search over many different databases created for the NIDDK and greater biomedical community. Dynamic databases are considered part of the hidden web, that is, they are difficult to search using regular search engines.  Hundreds of public databases have been created covering a range of data types; too many to visit when you are looking for relevant information. With the dkNET portal, you can search across many databases at once through an enhanced search interface. We have selected a set of these databases that are directly relevant to NIDDK researchers and others interested in metabolic systems in health and disease. dkNET is a dynamic inventory, constantly adding more data sources and making them easier to search and explore, so be sure to check back regularly. We will use this space to alert you to new features and sources as they become available, or, you can sign up for our mailing list or follow us on Twitter or G+. We invite you to explore the dkNET website and the dkNET data portal.
