Description: Private human tissue processing and storage bank in the UK based in Plymouth on the medical campus of Derriford Hospital, Europe''s 4th largest teaching hospital. The company was set up to serve the UK and private health sectors looking to outsource the processing and storage of human tissue to an accredited, trusted and experienced expert. Storing for human application, they now process and store human tissue for organizations all over the world, including the Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust. They are also the only private tissue bank of any true scale in the UK with the ability to store well over 1 million human tissue samples on one site. BioVault has achieved a number of accreditations and forged relationships with numerous bodies since 2002, all designed to test the robustness of our internal procedures and reassure clients they are being given the highest levels of quality and service. Many of BioVault''s pioneering systems have been designed to exceed the criteria set out by the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) with whom we work closely. The HTA is the competent authority under the European Tissue and Cell Directive and sets the standards for regulating human tissue application establishments.
