Proper Citation: Andrew Blagborough; Imperial College London Cat# mAb-4B7, RRID:AB_2728658
Target Antigen: ookinete surface protein Pfs25
Host Organism: mouse
Clonality: monoclonal
Comments: "mAb 4B7 was produced by fusion of spleen cells from a BALB/c mouse immunized twice with recombinant vaccinia virus that were expressing Pfs25, and boosted with whole P.faki~rum gametes. Supernatants from the fusion were screened for specificity to Pfs25 by immunoblot of reduced Pfs25-B (D. C. Kaslow, unpublished observations). Antisera P7 was produced by pooling sera from mice immunized individually with the peptides SLKCLKENETCKAVD, LKENETCKAVDGIYK, KAVDGIYKCDCKDGF, GIYKCDCKDGFIIDN, and DCKDGFIIDNESSI, which are derived from the fourth EGF-like domain of Pfs25."

dkNET can assist you in preparing authentication plans for antibodies to comply with the NIH Submission Policy. The information can be used while planning your experiments or submitting grant applications. The authentication plan for antibodies is based on methods suggested in "A proposal for validation of antibodies" (Uhlen M et. al., 2016), the guideline published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology (Saper C, 2005)(2), and the example " Authentication of of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources "(Bandrowski A). For best practices for authenticating antibodies, check our Authentication Reports services.
