IIDP Funding Opportunity Announcements: The Technology Resource Award (TRA) and The Data Resource Trainee Scholar Award (DRTSA)

Here is the information from the Integrated Islet Distribution Program (IIDP):

"The IIDP is excited to announce two new funding opportunities available to IIDP investigators and centers as well as the general diabetes research community.

• The Technology Resource Award (TRA) is intended to advance research of human islets and other non-islet pancreatic biomaterials (e.g. acinar, ductal tissues, lymph nodes, duodenum) by providing support for high-impact studies that will enhance services provided by IIDP to the human islet research community. Up to $150,000 will be available per award. Click here for information.

• The Data Resource Trainee Scholar Award (DRTSA) is intended to advance research in human pancreas biology by providing trainees with support and access to detailed donor and islet data contained within the IIDP’s Research Data Repository (RDR) that will enable important secondary analyses to explore the relationships among donor characteristics, islet phenotyping, and genetic risk. Up to $10,000 will be available per award. Click here for information.

The application deadline for both programs is July 17, 2023 with an anticipated start date of October 1, 2023. The maximum duration of both programs is one year.

Also, in case you missed the previous announcement, please note that the IIDP is also currently accepting applications through May 31, 2023 for the Islet Award Initiative (IAI) to provide up to 100,000 free IEQs to diabetes researchers new to the field of islet research.
