Alternate IDs: RGD_126781844, 126781844, RRRC_878, RRRC_0878, RRRC_00878
Notes: This mutant strain was created by injecting embryos from 'docking site ready (DSR)' rat strains. The DSR rat strain, or TARGAT /TM rat strain was generated using CRISPR/Cas9. The DSR embryos were microinjected with integrase, a mixture of TARGATT Cre DNA constructs containing rabbit smooth muscle myosin heavy chain (SMHC) gene promoter, and a fluorescent reporter mCherry in the Cre cassette linked by a T2A sequence. The vascular smooth muscle tissue-specific expression of a CreERT2 is tamoxifen-dependent." Rat Resource and Research Center

Notes: This transgenic strain contains the enhanced green fluorescent protein gene under the control of the human ubiquitin-C promoter with a the woodchuck hepatitis virus posttranscriptional regulatory element (WRE). This transgenic strain was made by injecting the lentivirus vector containing the GFP construct (vector name FUGW) into SD rat embryos. Animals that exhibited fluorescence of tails where then mated. The colony was transferred from Carlos Lois, California Institute of Technology, Pasedena, California to the Rat Resource and Research Center in 2002. This strain has been maintained by backcrossing carrier males to SD stock females in order to segregate transgenes and maintain the SD background. The strain now carries a single transgene which is located at chromosome 14q21. Rat Resource and Research Center

Can't find your Organism?

We recommend that you click next to the search bar to check some helpful tips on searches and refine your search firstly. If you want to find a specific organism, it's easier to enter an RRID or a Catalog Number to search. You can refine the search results using Facets on the left side of the search results page. If you are on the table view, you can also search in a specific column by clicking the column title and enter the keywords.

If you still could not find your organism in the search results, please help us by registering it into the system — it's easy. Organisms identifiers are registered through multiple sources depending on the species:
