Description: Rattus norvegicus with name BN.F344-ApcPirc from RGD.

Notes: The phenotype of the BN.F344-ApcPirc congenic shows high resistance to cancer. The heterozygous animals get spontaneous intestinal lesions (small intestinal and colonic)starting at 60 days of age in males. BN animals are highly resistant to tumor development and can live over 2 years. Rat Resource and Research Center
