Notes: Inbred Dark Agouti (DA) rats were originally obtained from Hannover, Germany and Piebald Virol Glaxo(PVG) rats from Harlan UK Limited (Blackthorn, UK). Congenic strain was established by transfer of the defined Vra4 segment selected from male donors of G8 generation of a DAxPVG1.AV1 andvanced intercross line. Subsequential backcrossing for 9 generations. National BioResource Project for the Rat in Japan
