Notes: This transgenic strain was generated by microinjection into fertilized oocytes of Wistar rats. The vector containing the Tek/GFP plasmid (pSP14/15.t2hgfpPan5) was a gift from Dr. TN Sato of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. The transgene was excised from the plasmid vector by Sal I digestion. National BioResource Project for the Rat in Japan
