Notes: CRISPR/Cas9 system was used to introduce a mutation in the Krtcap3 gene of WKY/NCrl rat embryos. The resulting mutation is a net 2-bp deletion in the exon 2 of the targeted gene, which led to a frameshift mutation and early termination of the KRTCAP3 protein.
