Notes: The Slc6a4 knockout rat was generated by target-selected ENU-induced mutagenesis. An ENU-induced premature stop codon in exon 3 of the Slc6a4 gene in a female rat (Wistar from Crl) was identified.The homozygoous mutant rats were generated by incrossed between heterozygous Slc6a4 knock out rats.
