Notes: SS.WKY-(D2N35-Mme)/Mco and SS.MNS-(D10Mit11-D10M11Mit119)/Mco were crossed and the F1 were backcrossed to SS.WKY-(D2N35-Mme)/Mco. Rats that were homozygous on the chr 2 loci were selected and crossed with the ones that were homozygous on the chr 10 loci. This produced the double congenic strain which was maintained by brother-sister mating
