Description: Shared resource facility housed in five dedicated laboratory rooms (878 sq. feet) within the North Life Sciences building. All services are provided on a fee-for-service, hourly recharge basis and are available for BSL-1 and BSL-2 research activities. Major instrumentation includes a BD Biosciences FACSAria Fusion in a biosafety cabinet and FACSMelody cell sorting systems; two BD LSR II flow cytometric analyzers; an Amnis ImageStreamX Mark II imaging flow cytometer; a PerkinElmer In Vivo Imaging System (IVIS); and a MESO QuickPlex Q 60MM electrochemiluminescence detection platform. The Core provides comprehensive instrumentation, expert technical support, and consultation in experimental design and data analysis that supports high-parameter cellular phenotyping (up to 18 colors), high-speed, multi-population sorting (up to four populations simultaneously) for enrichment or high-purity recovery, 96-well plate single-cell sorting for clonal expansion or downstream single-cell sequencing applications, multi-parameter quantitative imaging (up to six imaging channels), whole-organism fluorescence and bioluminescence imaging, and multiplex biomarker quantification.
