Welcome to the dkNET Repository Finder - your go-to tool for discovering the most suitable repositories for your datasets and for ensuring compliance with FAIR principles and data sharing requirements. As part of dkNET’s mission, we aim to help researchers comply with NIH's mandates. With the NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing in effect as of January 25, 2023,  all NIH-funded researchers are required to develop a data management and sharing plan. With dozens of repositories to choose from, finding the right one can be challenging. The dkNET Repository Finder guides you through the process to select the appropriate data repositories and adopting FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles.

How It Works

1. Visit the dkNET Repository Finder
   Go to  https://repofinder.dknet.org/

2. Get Started
   Click the green button to begin.

3. Answer the Questions
   Respond to a series of questions based on your data requirements and priorities.

4. View and Filter Results

• Click "Go to Results" or select a repository from the right panel to explore detailed profiles.

• Refine your results using filters such as data type, domain, species, funder, data citation support, and more.

5. Select a Repository
   Browse repository profiles to find the best fit for your needs. Click on a repository name or the arrow icon in the top right corner to access more details.
