Greetings,
We are pleased to extend an invitation for you to attend our Annual Meeting “Changing the Course in Type 1 Diabetes” to be held in Bethesda, MD on January 13-14, 2025. The meeting will be focused on the concepts of Discovery, Etiology, and Therapy in type one diabetes. This meeting will be unique, and for the first time open to all those interested in the future course of diabetes research, including both HIRN members and non-HIRN affiliated individuals. The agenda will include three scientific sessions over 2-days, breakouts, poster sessions and Keynote addresses are also planned.
We anticipate in-person attendance of up to 500 individuals, including those who lead or work in prestigious domestic and international academic or industry laboratories, from disciplines including bioengineering, cell technologies, computational biology, gene therapy, humanized mouse modeling, immunology, developmental biology, pathology, tissue/cell isolation and transplantation, and more. Officials and researchers from other NIH and NIDDK initiatives will also be in attendance.
This meeting will be held at the NIH Main Campus (Natcher Building) in Bethesda, MD on Monday, January 13 – Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Registration is currently open to all, with no registration fee required. The preliminary meeting agenda is attached for your reference.
We will be hosting two poster sessions during the meeting. We encourage you (and members of your team) to submit a poster abstract for consideration. All abstracts will be reviewed. There is limited space available, so not every submission may result in an invitation to present a poster. Selected posters will emphasize novel and thought-provoking research regarding the future direction of T1D research within the meeting themes of discovery, etiology, and therapy. Abstracts are due on November 1st.
Visit the meeting website to learn more about the meeting, submit an abstract, or reserve a hotel.
