Are you familiar with the NIH policy on Rigor and Reproducibility?
What you need to know about the new NIH grant proposal submission guidelines in a snapshot. NIH now requires that anyone submitting a grant proposal include a separate attachment (See example here) that provides detailed information about how key resources-antibodies, cell lines, chemicals-will be identified and authenticated.
* Updates: Please note that an updated guideline was released in September, 2018, and we have also uploaded the updated guideline infographic here. Beginning with applications due on and after January 25, 2019, the term "rigor of the prior research" will replace "scientific premise" under the Significance section. Applicants will be also asked to describe plans to address weaknesses in the rigor of the prior research in the Approach section (see NOT-OD-18-228 and NOT-OD-18-229).
